DHMO in Public Schools

Schools are required to provide unlimited DHMO to minors. Why isn't anyone talking about this?

The Evidence

Public schools across the United States are not only permitted but legally required to provide DHMO to minors throughout the school day. Water fountains. Cafeteria service. Sports practice. Field trips. The chemical is dispensed continuously, without parental consent, to children as young as four.

Schools do not warn students about DHMO. They do not list its presence in cafeteria meal plans. They do not require permission slips for DHMO administration. By the time the average American child reaches high school graduation, they have consumed an estimated 120,000 liters of DHMO under direct school supervision.

We have surveyed the policies of 412 school districts. Not one disclosed DHMO content in their nutrition reporting. Not one offered a DHMO-free meal option. Not one provided opt-out paperwork. The administrative consensus is that DHMO is 'not something parents need to be informed about.'

Citizens Against DHMO believes parents have a right to know what chemicals their children are being exposed to in school. We are not asking schools to remove DHMO. We are asking for transparency, disclosure, and an opt-out option for families who wish to manage their children's exposure independently.

Documented Cases

The Plano ISD Disclosure Request (2025)

A coalition of parents in Plano, TX formally requested DHMO usage data from their district. The district initially declined, citing 'unclear public benefit.' Disclosure was eventually granted under state sunshine laws.

The School Lunch Audit

An independent audit of 50 school cafeterias found DHMO present in 100% of meals served, including those marked 'organic,' 'gluten-free,' and 'plant-based.'
